We don’t shy away from the necessity of lament.

We don’t shy away from the necessity of lament. This past week, our nation has been shaken by multiple tragedies. The assassination of Charlie Kirk, the murder of Iryna Zarutska, and the Evergreen High School shooting in our own state.

With these images, videos and news headlines constantly blasting our screens, it’s only right that we feel the weight of the senseless evil. We pause, we grieve, and we lift our voices, pain, doubts and questions to the throne room of heaven.

We don’t dwell in division, we fight for unity. We pray for wisdom, guidance, and peace and comfort for the brokenhearted. We walk hand in hand with those who think differently than us, remembering that it’s Jesus Christ himself to holds all things, and will one day dry every tear and redeem every act of evil.
