Raised singing in her grandparents’ church just outside of Nashville, Tennessee, Lizzie Morgan discovered her calling to full-time music ministry through leading worship.

David and Renata Perkins married and began full-time ministry together in 2000. While serving together at New Life Church in Colorado Springs, they founded and led Desperation, a national student ministry that reached thousands of young people across the country.

After 15 years of ministry, God placed a burden on their hearts to plant a life-giving church in Kansas City.
